CerviScreen (“the Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to safeguarding the privacy and confidentiality of all personal data, patient health records, and medical images processed through our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when providing our cervical cancer preliminary screening services.
By using our Services, healthcare providers (“Customers”) and patients (“Participants”) agree to the practices described herein.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 From Healthcare Providers (Doctors/Paramedics):
- Account registration details (name, organization, email, phone).
- Screening activity logs and payment-related information.
1.2 From Patients (Participants undergoing screening):
- Demographic details (age, marital history, relevant health background).
- Cervicography images captured during clinical screening.
- Clinical metadata related to symptoms or complaints (if provided).
- Signed digital/physical consent form confirming voluntary participation.
1.3 Automatically Collected Data:
- Device identifiers, IP addresses, and usage logs for security and audit purposes.
2. Purpose of Data Collection
2.1 To enable preliminary screening of cervical abnormalities through the designated healthcare providers.
2.2 To support medical review and clinical decision support for healthcare providers.
2.3 For internal medical research and model improvement, as explicitly consented by the patient.
2.4 For operational purposes such as billing, service improvement, and regulatory compliance.
2.5 Enable research and development of AI-assisted automated preliminary screening of cervical abnormalities detection process.
3. Consent and Legal Basis
3.1 All patient data and images are collected only after obtaining explicit digital or physical consent, as per the “Patient Consent Form for Collection of Cervicography Image and Patient Details for Internal Medical Research Use.”
3.2 Participation is entirely voluntary, and patients may withdraw consent at any time.
3.3 Data processing complies with applicable laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) and recognized ethical standards for medical research.
4. Confidentiality & Data Protection
4.1 All medical data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protocols.
4.2 Access to patient data is restricted to authorized medical personnel and research staff.
4.3 No identifiable patient information will be disclosed to third parties, except where required by law or regulatory authorities.
4.4 Images and records used for research are de-identified/anonymized prior to analysis wherever possible.
5. Data Sharing
5.1 Data is not sold or commercially shared with third parties.
5.2 Limited data may be shared with:
- Authorized healthcare professionals involved in patient care.
- Regulatory agencies (CDSCO, & ethics boards) for compliance reporting.
- Research collaborators, under strict data-sharing agreements and anonymization protocols.
6. Data Retention
6.1 Patient images and records are retained for the minimum period necessary to fulfill medical, research, or regulatory obligations.
6.2 Anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for research and AI model improvement, provided that patient consent was obtained.

7. Patient Rights
7.1 Request access to their personal data and medical images.
7.2 Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
7.3 Withdraw consent and request deletion of their data.

8. Security Measures
8.1 Use of presigned URLs with time-bound expiry (10 minutes) for secure access to stored images.
8.2 Role-based access control for healthcare staff.
8.3 Regular audits, monitoring, and compliance checks to prevent unauthorized access or misuse.
9. Limitation of Liability
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
10.1 This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
10.2 Any disputes shall be resolved first through good faith negotiations. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
10.3 Subject to arbitration, the courts at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
